The Marine High Voltage Safety Course is the first step for safe work with high voltage systems on board marine vessels and offshore installations. The course follows an interactive yet methodological approach that encourages individual and group engagement. The content focuses on current international safety standards, rules and regulations, electrical fundamentals, high voltage safety hazards and high voltage safety management procedures. Throughout the course, emphasis is continually placed upon the safety aspects of electrical work and includes recommendations on safe practices, procedures and precautions be taken to maximize the safety of personnel.

On completion of this course, delegates will have a thorough knowledge and understanding of maritime HV installations and safety working procedures. The course will provide both theoretical and practical instruction in a safe training environment.

Completion Exit Level: The competent learner will meet the knowledge, understanding and proficiency requirements for High Voltage (HV) installations as set out in the STCW Code Tables A-III/1 for electrical, electronic and control systems at a management level.
